YOUTH CONFERENCE
The 2023 Latinx Youth Conference will award four $1,000 scholarships to eighth-grade students who meet the following criteria:
–Enrolled as an eighth-grade student at a West Michigan school
-Identify as Latinx or Hispanic
-Submit the requested information on or before the scholarship deadline
Interested students may submit for as many of the scholarship opportunities as they wish. Scholarship dollars must be used for education-related programming (i.e. college/university, technical school, after school and/or summer programming, etc.).

Please submit a typed essay using the topic above and no more than 500 words.

Maybe you’ve consistently kept your GPA high and/or racked up some academic awards? Or you’ve excelled athletically? Or your passion for volunteering has allowed you to consistently serve others. Send us your list with all the details.

How has it influenced you in the past and how do you see it playing a role in your future?
Is it at the center of your family and friendships, or somewhere out on the parameter?
Showcase your thoughts in a sketch, drawing or painting.
Requirements:
Please submit your sketch, drawing or painting by scanning the original and downloading the scanned copy no later than 11:59 p.m. on January 13, 2023.
The winner will be required to provide their original art to the Hispanic Center for Western Michigan to showcase at the 2023 Latinx Youth Conference.
