This position requires a flexible schedule for workdays, weekends, holidays, and after-hour events. Our Admissions & Experiences Manager has a full-time work schedule.   A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ADMISSIONS & EXPERIENCES MANAGER AT JBZ The Admissions & Experiences Manager is responsible for all aspects of ticketing, admissions, guest relations, in park paid adventure experiences, and on-site membership sales and services.  The Admissions/Experiences Manager works in conjunction with all Guest Service Departments to achieve the John Ball Zoo’s total guest service objective. Ensuring guest satisfaction, while monitoring and achieving overall financial objectives on a regular basis. The Admissions & Experiences Manager will maintain staff for the admissions, experiences, and membership departments by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. This person will also work closely with IT team to assure ticket availability and ticket type updates are maintained in all systems and on the website. They also will need to maintain a thorough understanding of the admissions & experiences point of sales system.   QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADMISSIONS & EXPERIENCES MANAGER
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage work teams to support organizational objectives, goals, and culture.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with members, staff, and volunteers and interact positively with a wide array of individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Ability to promote and sell Zoo Experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and show flexibility with daily responsibilities
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Proficiency in Point of Service software applications, cash register operations, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality or relevant field is preferred with at least four years guest service management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
