JOB DESCRIPTION The Manager, Growth & Development will be responsible for driving new business and JAM Sports revenue across Michigan markets. You will be primarily focused on finding new venues, finding new players and focusing on positively expanding the JAM brand across Michigan. This role will focus on 3 main pillars: 1) People: Finding new members and retaining current members. 2) Venues: Finding new places to play and maintaining existing venue relationships. 3) League Convenors: Managing league convenors to ensure games get played and ensure they are delivering an excellent game experience. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Generating JAM Sports revenue to meet and exceed goals.
  • Identifying the main growth opportunities in regions in Michigan.
  • Building relationships to become a trusted expert and problem solver for our JAM Sports players.
  • Working directly with the Program Manager and Venue Manager to discuss seasonal menu planning changes, new program ideas for current venues and how to maximize revenue across JAM Sports league.
  • Educating and exciting JAM players about our existing portfolio of JAM Sports leagues and events.
  • Sharing JAM content and promoting our JAM Sports leagues.
  • Managing League Convenors in all Michigan markets.
  • Working closely with our Operations team to ensure a seamless transition from sale to product delivery.
  • Working on increasing the retention rate of current members, filling the funnel with new members and finding new places to play.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University or College degree in Business, Sales or Sports Management is an asset.
  • 2-3 years experience of sales experience is required.
  • 2-3 years experience successfully managing a team.
  • Ability to think quickly on your feet and work well with a team.
  • Ability to adapt to change and experience working in an entrepreneurial organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
EXPECTED HOURS & REMOTE WORK
  • You will be working 40 hours per week.
  • The majority of your time you will be working 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday, there will be some evening and weekend work required especially during league start up time.
COMPENSATION
  • $37,000-$42,000 USD  annual salary with bonus structure
  • 10 Vacation Days and 10 Personal Days to start
  • Complimentary league play
