The 2024 Latinx Youth Conference will award four laptops to eighth-grade students who meet the following criteria:
–Enrolled as an eighth-grade student at a West Michigan school
-Identify as Latinx or Hispanic
-Submit the requested information on or before the scholarship deadline
Interested students may submit for as many of the scholarship opportunities as they wish. Scholarship dollars must be used for education-related programming (i.e. college/university, technical school, after school and/or summer programming, etc.).

Share a personal life story that has shaped your character and values. Reflect on an experience, challenge, or moment of growth in your life and explain how it has influenced the person you are today. Describe the impact this story has had on your beliefs, dreams, and actions.
Please submit a typed essay using the topic above and no more than 500 words.

Write a letter to your future self, reflecting on the person you are today, your dreams and aspirations, and the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Consider what you hope to achieve, the challenges you anticipate, and the values that guide you. Address your future self with words of encouragement and advice, and share your hopes and fears for the journey ahead. Consider what you want to remember about this moment in your life and what you want to remind yourself of in the future.

Please submit your sketch, drawing or painting by scanning the original and downloading the scanned copy no later than 11:59 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
The winner will be required to provide their original art to the Hispanic Center for Western Michigan to showcase at the 2023 Latinx Youth Conference.
Create a pitch or presentation for a business idea or innovative solution to a real-world problem. Explain what your idea addresses, the target market or audience, and the potential impact it could have. Share your vision for the future and how your entrepreneurial skills and innovative thinking can make a difference
