Our Goal
The Hispanic community in the Roosevelt Park Neighborhood faces significant health disparities. Through Our Neighborhood Our Health Fund, The Hispanic Center of Western Michigan focuses on the priority area of Health within the Roosevelt Park neighborhood. The HCWM goal is to increase awareness through our Health Awareness Series. Our Health Awareness Series highlights five different health providers within our community.

Clinica Santa Maria
Clinica Santa Maria offers vital services to the underserved, homeless, migrants, and the uninsured. With a dedicated team of eight providers and specialists, including gynecology and obstetric specialists, the clinic ensures comprehensive healthcare. In addition, Clinica Santa Maria breaks down the language barrier as the staff are bilingual. Financial assistance breaks down barriers to medical access, making quality healthcare a reality for all

Trinity Health Mammography
Trinity Health Mammogram Bus shatters obstacles to breast care. Addressing no insurance, mistrust, transportation issues, and fears, we offer free 3-D mammography. Empowering medically indigent women with accessible, preventive services. We are thankful to have partnered with Trinity Health as they bring their Mammogram Bus to the Hispanic Center and offering their services to our community.

At the Hispanic Center, we deliver impactful services – monthly food distribution, senior food boxes, navigation assistance, and key resource connections to our community partners.

Whether you’re exploring insurance options, in need of medical services, or seeking affordable healthcare solutions, our dedicated team is here to guide you every step of the way. Your health matters to us, and we are committed to making healthcare accessible and manageable for you and your community.
mental health
Our comprehensive mental health support program is tailored to the needs of Hispanic families. Our offerings include educational sessions aimed at raising awareness and understanding of mental health within the Hispanic community. We also offer onsite 1:1 counseling services by a bilingual therapist every Wednesday & Friday who can effectively communicate and provide support in both English and Spanish. Additionally, we assist in connecting individuals and families with access to a wide range of mental and behavioral health services.
NUTRition
We offer engaging and informative nutrition classes designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to make healthier food choices. All participants receive a $20 gift card to support their journey toward healthier eating habits. In addition we organize monthly food distributions, making essential food items accessible to our community members. Ensuring that everyone has access to wholesome meals is a fundamental part of our mission. We believe that by addressing both education and access, we can make a meaningful impact on your health and well-being.
