The Community Interpreter® Training is a ground-breaking 40-hour national certificate program in community interpreting produced by Cross-Cultural Communications. This foundational training course targets the professional needs of community interpreters and bilingual staff who work in Healthcare, Education, and Social/Human Services. The course promotes national ethics and standards of practice for interpreters and can prepare them for national medical interpreter certification.
Requirements
- Fluent in both targeted languages
- GED or High School Diploma
- Must be 18 or older
Start Dates of The Community Interpreter® Training
Spring Session
The training will be two days a week Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am-12:00pm Starts May 7, 2024 ends June 27, 2024 *Registration Deadline: April 30
Summer Session
The training will be two days a week Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am-12:30pm Starts July 2, 2024 ends August 22 *Registration Deadline: July 1
Fall Session
The training will be two days a week Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 am-8:00 pm Starts October 1, 2024 ends November 21 *Registration Begins: August 12, Registration Deadline: September 20
