In 1926, Bert Huizen Furniture Company opened for business at our current Burton Street location, specializing in upholstery with sofas and chairs made by Bert. His three sons, Bud, John and Roger oversaw the gradual transition to a furniture store. Four cousins, Gord, Craig, Bob and Mark were the next generation to be involved in the business. Today, Todd Huizen, fourth generation operates Huizen’s Furniture. Stonesthrow offers a selection of contemporary furniture and accessories for the home. Located just North of Leonard on Plainfield Avenue. Today, Karen Kloostra, fourth generation operates Stonesthrow.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s license

Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service

Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, lift, and move up to 75lbs individually and up to 100lbs with the help of other associates.

Chauffeur’s license (preferred) Will pay for testing and licence
